Songs of Autumn Blog Tour | Favourite Quotes + GIVEAWAY

When I got the tour sign up email for Songs of Autumn by Lauren Sevier, I could barely contain my excitement. Since Autumn is my favourite season, I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to read the book early. Lauren’s writing is beautiful, so pretty much all I did while reading was highlight my favourite lines (thank you, Kindle!) I’m so excited to share my favourites with you today, and a fun giveaway for a digital copy of the book!

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab | A Story I’ll Never Forget

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue has been on my TBR for as long as I can remember. It had no cover or description, but Victoria Schwab’s tweets about it where more than enough to fuel my love of this story. And obviously, it’s a Schwab book. As if I’d ever skip one!? Hell no! Anyway, Addie LaRue defied all my expectations. It was everything I hoped for and so, so much more. Spoiler alert; this is a 5-star review – obviously!

Finale by Stephanie Garber | The Most Spectaculair End

I’m so excited to share my review of Finale with you today! To my absolute horror, it turns out I read the book in July 2019 and then never published this review. I need to right this wrong, you guys! I need to be 100% honest here that I don’t remember a whole lot of Finale anymore, but I had the review written and I’m happy with it, so that’s why I’m still sharing it today. This series holds such a special place in my heart, I can’t believe I’ve finished it! Anyway, let’s get into the review.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin | Perfectly Dark & Witchy!

If I had to name one book that has stalked me all over the internet, it’s Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin. It literally popped up everywhere. For the longest time, I ignored it. I just wasn’t interest enough to pick up a copy. My Audible credits started piling up, and I decided to give it a try. And oh, my goodness. I’m so glad I did! I wasn’t planning on reviewing my audiobooks this year, but I’m bursting with excitement over gorgeous debut and I need to share!

Cold Brew With a French Press

My absolute favourite summer drink has got to be iced coffee. For the past five-ish years, I usually got it at Starbucks when I was in a big city and it was even the slightest bit sunny outside. Those days were definitely my favourites in the summer. Unfortunately, it’s a bit different this year and I won’t be near a Starbucks any time soon. Hence why I decided to try and make some Iced Coffee/Cold Brew at home! It took some tries figuring out what worked best for, but I’ve done it and I’m going to share my recipe today! All you need are coffee beans or course ground coffee…

My (Very Ambitious) Reading Rush TBR

Ayla’s doing in a readathon? And will actually participate all the way through? YES!!! I’ve only done a readathon once before and that didn’t go as planned… This time around, I’m much more prepared, though! The Reading Rush seemed like so much fun in previous years and so I felt like joining this year. The challenges are so exciting and I had the best time putting together a TBR. Whether or not I’m actually going to stick to it is a whole other thing, but we’ll see! Is it July 20th yet? I’m so excited!

Mid-Year Book FREAK OUT Tag 2020

Can you believe we’re halfway through the year already? This first half of 2020 has been the absolutely craziest. It gives me a weird feeling in my stomach just thinking about it! The year started off great in terms of reading, but with everything that happened so far, I’m now seven (!!!) books behind on my challenge of 50 books! I’ve got some catching up to do, but let’s dive into this tag first, shall we?

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust | So Many Plot Twists!

Eeekk! Happy book birthday to Girl, Serpent, Thorn! When I first found this book, I was obsessed with its cover. And the synopsis simply sounded amazing! I found it on Edelweiss and requested without a second thought. I needed this book!. Fast forward a little while and my request was declined. I later found it on Netgalley and tried again; what do you know? Lucky me had her request approved! I dived in straight away and finished it in two days. I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you!

  • Taking care of plants has become a new hobby over the past year! In this post: my plant care journey full of trail and error!

    Future Plant Princess

Whew, guys! I finally have some time to blog again! Time to get those drafts published and work out all the blog ideas I’ve had floating around my brain for months. I turned – taking care of – plants into a hobby, and I’ve actually acquired quite a bunch of green plant friends over the past few months. It’s an exciting new journey from just having fresh flowers every few weeks to taking care of “permanent” indoor plants and I’d love to share my experiences with you!
