The Bookish Bulletin: January 2020 | Good Things All Around
Oh my goodness, you guys! We’re in 2020! Usually, January feels like the longest month ever for me but this year, that really wasn’t the case. January was eventful, to say the least. More on that later! You may have noticed the blog is slowly coming ‘alive’ again and it makes me so happy I could burst. My Most Anticipated 2020 YA Releases
I’ve never had more unread books on my shelf than I have today. For real, guys! I have always been someone who only bought new books whenever I finished my unread books or was close to finishing one. Crier's War by Nina Varela | My Name's In A YA Fantasy!?
It’s been a really long time since I’ve written a review, but I guess it’s been even longer since I managed to read a book like this in only three (!!!) days?! I’m utterly in love with Crier’s War, its characters, the world, the f/f romance… Oh, did I mention the enemies-to-lovers element?! Basically, this book turned me into a sobbing mess because I just love it that much. Time for a review, don’t you think?

The Christmas I Learned an Important Lesson
Dear readers, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Mine isn’t really over yet, as we celebrate a second day of Christmas in the Netherlands. Christmas isn’t really my thing, and it’s so, so stressful to me. I’m trying to make the best of it, though! My family and I exchanged presents today, as we do every year and in the proces, I learned an important lesson. I was about to go to bed and my workspace is still a wreck from gift wrapping earlier, but I decided to sit down next to my tiny Christmas tree and share this story with you.

My End of Year Reading Frenzy | Five Books To Go!
It’s been a very long time since I’ve had this sudden urge to open WordPress and write a blog. It’s also been a very long time since I managed to finish two books within twelve hours. At the time of writing this, it’s 10.37 PM. And if you know me even the slightest bit, you know I always go to bed before 10. I know going to bed is absolutely useless right now because I’m just so excited about books and reading, I need to share it with the world. I’m five books away from finishing my Goodreads reading challenge, and twenty days to read them. LET’S GO!

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson | Monstrous Grimoires!!!
Sorcery of Thorns might actually be my new all-time favourite standalone YA Fantasy. Oh my GOODNESS, you guys! I loved Margaret Rogerson’s Enchantment of Ravens and I thought nothing could top that, but then Sorcery happened and I’m utterly speechless because I love it so. damn. much.

Coming up with a title for this post was hard, you guys! I found these really great Twitter threads on book marketing and PR by Margot Wood a while ago and it’s been on my mind ever since. I went back to college last year mainly because of my interest in marketing and books, so I love it when people in the field talk about it online.
