A little while ago, I signed up to join Hebban’s Epic Reads (online) Book Club for Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. The book wasn’t a “priority” for me at the time, but I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity because I’d read the “original” Shatter Me trilogy in only three days a few years ago and I loved it so much! Imagine my surprise when I was chosen as a participant and got the book sent to me! I decided to give you guys a little summary of my part in the book club, spoiler-free, of course!

The perk of getting a trilogy box set is that you can continue reading sequels right away! I recently read (and reviewed) Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo, so obviously, it’s now time for Siege & Storm. I always really struggle writing reviews for sequels (especially when they’re second books in trilogies. Oh my goodness.) but I think I managed! Anyway, here are my thoughts on the book!

WOW-WEE! It has literally taken me for-e-ver to finally pick up a Leigh Bardugo book. But I finally did it! I gotta be honest with you, I was never really that interested in the Grishaverse. Strangely, though, I can’t really explain why! These books had never been on my TBR before and I don’t think I’d ever actually read the synopsis of Shadow & Bone before I decided to pick up the box set. I guess I just trusted everyone who was even the littlest bit positive about Leigh and the series? Anyway, here’s my review!

If it’s a faerie book, I have to pick it up. I am obsessed and need them all, pretty much. When The Cruel Prince was released, it was everywhere. I couldn’t go on Twitter without seeing something on this book. I was never really interested (although it IS a faerie book! Shame on me!), but then the hype made me do it and when I went to Rotterdam in January, I decided to pick it up! But… Did I read the same book as everyone else?

The Rogue Queen is the third book in the Hundredth Queen series by Emily R. King. It’s a series I didn’t really like at first but grew to like over the course of the second book. When I requested the book on Netgalley, I had no clue whether or not I’d like it at all! I usually don’t request books if I feel about them this way, but I decided to give it a shot and I’m glad I did. I’m not super in love with the story, but it was a nice read anyway. As always, my review is completely spoiler-free!

Remember when I did a Waiting on Wednesday post on Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh? I was just so excited about this book! I mean, the main character is a necromancer and there’s #OwnVoices bisexual rep. How cool is that?! Way before I even got my Audible credit, I knew what I’d be spending it on. I listened to the audiobook and I loved it a whole lot. Anyway, let’s get on with the review, it feels way overdue already!

Today is an incredible day for releases. Last week, I shared my five-star review of Children of Blood & Bone and today, I’m sharing my review of another different, but incredible book: To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. It’s a book about a siren princess and a siren-killing crown prince, inspired by The Little Mermaid. It’s one of the best books I’ve read so far this year, and here’s my spoiler free review!

Woah, woah, woah. Children of Blood & Bone is an absolutely incredible book. Tomi Adeyemi’s debut is a West-African inspired fantasy story and it’s definitely unlike anything I’ve ever read before! I started reading it while I was in a reading slump but once I picked it up, I just couldn’t put it down! I literally used every spare minute I had during the day to read and I’m just so sad we have to wait for the next instalment! The book isn’t officiall out yet, but my review is completely spoiler free!

The Hazel Wood was one of my most anticipated releases of the first half of 2018 and I’m so incredibly grateful I got a digital ARC from the publisher through Netgalley! I found reviewing this book really difficult because I loved it so, so much and wanted to do it’s wonderful-ness justice with my review, but then my review was all brain farts and word vomit and zero sense! But finally, many rewrites later, I finally have a spoiler-free review to share with you!
